Hudson – Avidia Bank, a $1.3 billion community bank based in Hudson, recently announced that two of their employees have been appointed into new positions to prepare the bank for future growth.

David Morticelli, formerly the assistant vice president, market manager of the Marlborough branch, has been promoted to assistant vice president, branch administrator. Morticelli has over 30 years of banking experience, spending more than 10 of those years with Avidia Bank. In this new role, Morticelli will provide leadership to Avidia Bank’s entire branch banking network. Outside of his role as branch administrator, he continues to be an active member of the Marlborough community; serving as a board member of the Marlborough Community Development Authority, vice president of the Friends of Marlborough Senior Center, a member of the Marlborough Rotary Club and the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce.

With Morticelli now working at Avidia Bank’s headquarters in Hudson, Stephanie Luz has been promoted the role of assistant vice president and market manager of both the Marlborough and Shrewsbury branches. In this expanded role, Luz will oversee customer excellence and business development for both locations. Prior to joining Avidia Bank in 2015, Luz spent nearly 10 years as a leader in the Marlborough community, managing client relationships at the Marlborough office of Citizens Bank. She brings more than 20 years in the financial services industry, specializing in mortgage financing. In addition to Luz’s role as market manager, she is an active member of the Shrewsbury Rotary Club.
