Grafton – Ruth M. (Anderson) Shandrick, 90, of Grafton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, with her daughter at her bedside, in the Millbury Healthcare Center. Her husband, Gregory J. Shandrick, predeceased her in June 1980.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Lee Prevosk; a granddaughter, Cara Stone; a great-granddaughter, Kiana Stone, all of Worcester; a brother, William Anderson of Webster; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Gunnar and Robert Anderson and Elaine Valentine.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Gunnar A. and Jeanette L. (Santon) Anderson, and had lived in Grafton, and Sutton.
Ruth enjoyed quiet times with her family, doing crossword puzzles, and reading historical books. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
There are no calling hours. A burial service beside her husband at Saint Phillip Cemetery in Grafton will be held privately. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel of Worcester is assisting Ruth’s family with arrangements.
