Marlborough – Kenneth J. Winchester, 62, died Thursday evening, Aug. 18, 2016 after being stricken ill earlier in the week. He was the husband of Carolyn (Burke) Winchester, to whom he was married for 43 years.

He was born in Biddeford, Maine, the son of the late Carl Winchester and Pauline (Cormier) Winchester, and lived in Marlborough for the past 43 years.

He worked as a tractor trailer driver for different companies in the area, working the longest for North American Van Lines.

Ken was active in Marlborough Youth Baseball and Marlborough Youth Football for many years as a coach, as well as numerous other activities that allowed him to spend time with his children.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Kenneth Winchester of Hudson; two daughters, Kerryann Murphy of West Boylston and Shannon Marie McNulty of Hinsdale, N.H.; two brothers, Carl David Winchester of Fayville, N.C. and Steven Winchester of Massachusetts; three sisters, Linda Olson of Thompson, Conn., Bonnie Pollinger of Fayville, N.C., and Ann Millette of Oxford; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Dennis Winchester.

His funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 22, at 6:30 p.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Monday, from 4-6:30 p.m., prior to the service.  Burial will be private.
