Shrewsbury – The 2016 St. Mary Family Festival will kick off Saturday, Sept. 10, with the 5K Road Race beginning at 8:30 a.m. with registration. This is followed by the Pancake Breakfast Sunday, Sept. 11, with special guest appearances by your favorite Disney characters. Breakfast will be served from 8 – 11a.m. in the Parish Hall. Family Fun Night, Friday, Sept. 16, from 6 – 10 p.m., will feature entertainment, games, rides, food and fun. On Saturday, Sept. 17, festival activities run from 12 – 7 p.m. In the evening, there will be the 12th annual Pub Quiz from 8 – 11 p.m. And on Sunday, Sept. 18, the festival runs from 12 – 5 p.m. and comes to an end with the Grand Raffle and basket raffle drawings. Volunteers are needed to set-up the booths, games and rides, prepare and serve pasta, popcorn and pizza, sell ride and raffle tickets, run carnival games, supervise inflatables, assist children with crafts and activities, register and direct runners, and make sure visitors questions are answered and folks are having fun.
