Obit-Flag_USE-THIS-ONE4Marlborough – Peter J. Norton, 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 as a result of injuries he received in a car accident.

He was born in Boston, the son of the late William and Margaret (Atkinson) Norton, and lived in Marlborough for the past six years after spending many years in Lowell.

Mr. Norton was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and later went on to work as a configuration control manager for the Raytheon Corp. for many years.

He is survived by a sister, Margaret Scott of Marlborough, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and John Norton.

His funeral will be held Monday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough. An hour of visitation will be held Monday morning from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
