obit-robert-v-wallenSouth Grafton – Dr. Robert V. Wallen, 76, of South Grafton, died peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 in St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Maria C. Fernandez-Wallen; a son, Brian D. Wallen of Uxbridge; a daughter, Vicki Courtney and partner Thomas; and two brothers, Scott Wallen and his wife Rita and Craig Wallen. Bob also leaves several grandchildren and several nephews.

Robert was born in Worcester, son of the late Vincent and Loretta (Guertin) Wallen, and had lived in South Grafton for many years. He was a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine in Iowa, where he received his Doctorate degree.

Robert was a chiropractor for over 47 years, and had his own practice that served many people in the area that loved him. He served in the United States Airforce during the Korean conflict.

Robert loved being outdoors and enjoyed his long camping trips with Maria all around the country. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Robert’s family would like to thank the entire staff of the ICU at St. Vincent Hospital their kindness and compassion it was truly appreciated.

There are no services planned at this time in accordance with his wishes. The Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel in Worcester is assisting the family.
