Framingham – Elizabeth H. (Cambria) Quinn Russell, 94, formerly of Shrewsbury, Brewster, East Dennis, Franklin, and Sanibel, Island, Fla., died Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 in Oak Knoll Healthcare Center in Framingham after a period of declining health.
Elizabeth was born in Quincy, daughter of the late Arthur A. and Hazel J, (Cobb) Cambria. She attended Commerce High School and then entered and served her country proudly with the United States Army during WWII.
She was proud to be a descendant of five Mayflower families.
Elizabeth spent many wonderful years a tour director for Cape Cod Custom Tours, which is a division of Hy-Line Cruises in Hyannis. Previously, she had been employed in numerous administrative and retail management roles, including ownership of The Village Ivy Shoppe in Sturbridge.
She leaves her loving daughter, Josephine A. “Joanne” (Quinn) Moffatt and her husband Kenneth W. of Hudson, and two sisters Jacqueline K. Colecchi of Newton and M. Barbara Machinist and her husband Benjamin A. of Williamsburg, Va., and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and the Moffatt family, with whom Elizabeth shared many holidays. She was predeceased by her two husbands, John V. Quinn, who died in 1985, and Leslie F. Russell, who passed in 1993; a niece, Cynthia T. Colecchi; a brother, Arthur A. Cambria Jr.; and brother-in-law, Mario H. Colecchi.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Elizabeth’s family Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, followed by her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial with military honors will be in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
