    School: Hudson High School

    Sport: Baseball

    Coach: Tim Reinhardt

    Class: 2017

What are your earliest baseball-related memories?

“My earliest baseball-related memory would be playing 9-year-old All Stars and traveling all over the state playing with my friends.”

What was it like first trying out for the high school team years later?

“It was nerve-wracking. At Hudson, five grades compete for the varsity and junior varsity spots, so it was tough.”

What is it like playing for Coach Reinhardt?

“I like playing for Coach because of his love of the game. Not many people have affection for the game like Coach.”

What do you consider to be the best pitch of your arsenal?

“My best pitch is my four-seam fastball. It has a lot of side tail to it, and I can locate it effectively.”

Which single game has been the most special during your young career?

“It would most likely be a game I pitched this past summer. My summer team, Northeast Baseball Lookouts 17U, was competing in Georgia in a highly competitive tournament, and I found myself suddenly losing confidence in my ability. However, once I pitched, I went four strong innings, only giving up one hit. The team I pitched against was ranked 21st in the country at the time. This game gave me a lot of confidence and ever since I feel like I have been in a groove pitching-wise.”

What do you hope to accomplish in your final season at Hudson?

“Personally, I would like to be in competition for MVP of my league. I would also love to hold the lowest ERA in the league. I have never been on a team that competed in playoffs. As a senior captain for this upcoming season, I want to lead my team into the playoffs and bring back the state championship to Hudson. Most importantly, I want my team to bring back the reputation that Hudson is a baseball town. Last year we struggled and there’s no denying it. So now the league looks at us and licks their lips thinking they have an easy win, but I want my team to put fear into the opposition.”

What is your favorite class in school, and why?

“My favorite class is forensics. I am debating on majoring in criminal justice, so forensics peaks my interest because it relates to things I may be doing in my future career.”

What is your favorite MLB team and who is your favorite player?

“My favorite team is obviously the Red Sox, and my favorite player is their shortstop Xander Bogaerts. He plays so smooth, and it’s pretty to watch.”

What is your favorite type of music, and artist in that genre?

“My favorite music is country, and my favorite country artist would be Jason Aldean.”

Have you decided on a college yet?

My top school is currently Worcester State University, and I would love to play baseball for the Lancers because of how competitive the program is.”
