Based on what was recently seen on the Shrewsbury Town Common, 2016 was a great year for scarecrows.
For the past 12 years of the Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival, and since it’s inception, the Shrewsbury Garden Club has sponsored the annual “Scarecrows On The Common” display. Residents, families, businesses, town employees and community groups are all welcomed to make a scarecrow to display on the Town Common.
The Garden Club would like to thank all those who participated this year with a special thank you to Sherwood Middle School 5 Red and 5 Blue students for their outstanding scarecrows. This annual event is always a crowd pleaser and the Garden Club hopes to see even more scarecrows next fall. It’s never too early to start planning your scarecrow!
