Hudson – Emma M. (Lopez) Morgan, 83, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Marlborough Hospital.
She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Juan Lopez and Maria (Ducos) Lopez, and had lived in Hudson since 1978.
She leaves her loving husband of 56 years, John T. Morgan; two children, Mary M. Barrett and her husband Peter of Westford and John M. Morgan and his wife Donna of Townsend; four grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher, Kimberly and John; and several nieces and nephews.
Emma graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in science and was a school teacher for many years.
Emma was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother who used to enjoy square dancing in her younger days at the Hickory Hills Club. She will be sadly missed.
Calling hours for Mrs. Morgan will be held Friday, Nov. 4, from 5-7 p.m., in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church in Hudson will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m., followed by a committal service at Forestvale Cemetery.
