Framingham – H. Raymond (Ray) Kimmens passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at the Oak Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Framingham.
Born in Hudson to Harold and Lucy Kimmens, he lived with his wife of 61 years, Shirley Kimmens, in Hudson until their retirement to Bradenton, Fla.
Ray served proudly in the U.S. Navy where he began a lifelong career working with computers. He worked for some of the leading technology companies in the New England area, including Raytheon, Data General, and EMC Corporation from where he retired in 1994.
Ray is survived by his wife, Shirley, and children, Douglas Kimmens (Michele), Cheryl K. Franke (Arthur), and Sheila Kimmens. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christine (David), Veronica Kimmens, Benjamin Davis, and Daniel and L. Fox Franke; his great-grandchildren, Myla and Rylie Makai, as well as his brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Burial will be private in the Old Main Street Cemetery in Hudson, followed by a public memorial service Dec. 10 at St. Elizabeth’s Church, One Morse Road, Sudbury, with all friends and family invited.
