Obit-Flag_USE-THIS-ONE4Westborough – Michael J. Cole, 31, passed away suddenly at home Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of Taryn J. (MacKenzie) Ouellette of Marlborough and John E. Cole of Prosperity, Pa., and was educated in Westborough schools. He joined the U.S Army where he served as a marksman and received the Terrorism Preparedness Award.

Michael was employed as a landscaper for Lynch Landscaping and Tree Service in Sudbury. He enjoyed weightlifting and all things fitness related. He also enjoyed fishing, all-terrain vehicles and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving partner, Brittany Carter; six siblings, Marie Petkiewich, James Cole, John Cole, Angela Ross, Trini Cole, and Matthew Cole; maternal grandmother, Christine MacKenzie; uncle and aunt, Charlie Jr. and Andrea MacKenzie; uncle Shawn MacKenzie; aunt and uncle Tawnya and Eric Johnson; step-father, George Ouellette; best friend, Tony Murgo; mentor, Cliff Newton; one niece, Alayna; two nephews, Jackson and Jameson; and many other special aunts, uncles, and cousins in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Charlie MacKenzie Sr. and grandparents, Pappap and Kate Cole.

His funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m., in the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the David Pickering Westborough funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Friday, Nov. 11, from 4-7 p.m.
