Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury Montessori School has announced a new gardening program for all students as well as a makerspace in the STEAM program which incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Students participate in activities such as preparing gardening beds, planting, and harvesting seeds. In STEAM, students build and create with Keva blocks, robotics, recycled materials, sewing activities and much more to explore engineering and technology. Students also have access to a variety of musical instruments including a set of ukuleles. These activities help students gain the skills and experiences to solve problems creatively, work collaboratively, take initiative and develop global awareness.
