Westborough – Nov. 12 marked the beginning of the Westborough Civic Club’s annual tree sale. Club members set up the tree racks on the old Tufts Machine lot at 55 E. Main St. for the final time. The club wishes to thank the lot’s owner Mr. El Khoury for donating the use of his land to the club for so many years. This year’s tree sale will be the last at the old Tufts lot, customers can look forward to purchasing from the Civic Club’s new location in 2017.

The 2016 tree sale will run from Saturday, Nov. 26, through Christmas, Monday through Friday 12 to 9 p.m. and weekends 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Westborough Civic Club raises money through the sale of Christmas trees, wreaths, and accessories each year and donates the proceeds back to the community. This year the club was able to provide donations to dozens of diverse organizations that all support the town, including the Westborough Food Pantry, the Playground at the Common, the Westborough Senior Center, the Fine Arts Education Association, several youth sports teams and associations, and college scholarships for 2016 Westborough and Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School graduates.
