obit-gloria-ordwayHudson/Marlborough – Gloria (Blackmar) Ordway, 84, passed away in the presence of her loving family Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016.

She was born in New York City, the daughter of Winifred and Marion (Connington) Blackmar, and had lived most of her life in Marlborough.

Gloria worked at Design Pak Manufacturing Company for 35 years, retiring in 1994.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed cooking and traveling to Cape Cod, Plymouth, and the White Mountains in New Hampshire, and loved to spend time with her family and her beloved pets.

She leaves her loving husband of 67 years, Perley L. Ordway, Jr., and her son, Perley L. Ordway III and daughter-in-law Lydia of West Townsend. Her son, Francis P. Ordway, predeceased her too soon in 1970.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 22, from 5-7 p.m., in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Funeral services for Mrs. Ordway will be held from the funeral home Friday, Dec. 23, with a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
