oit-robert-j-labossiereMarlborough – Robert J. “Labby” LaBossiere, 58, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016. He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Edward and Agnes (Sappet) LaBossiere and lived here for most of his life.

Labby was a 1976 graduate of Saint John’s High School, a 1980 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, and received an MBA from Suffolk University.

He worked many years in finance for several different companies, including Thinking Machines Corp. and Mid-State Packaging.

Labby was an avid sports fan and a youth hockey coach for several years. He was a Patriots season ticket holder for over 30 years. He was a devoted friend and had many friendships that spanned his entire life.

He leaves two loving daughters, Katherine LaBossiere and Caleigh LaBossiere, both of Boston; a brother, Paul LaBossiere and his wife Claire of Hopedale; and two nephews and a niece.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough.
