Hudson – John W. Deane, 54, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus after a tragic accident. He was born in Woburn and had lived in Lexington before moving to Hudson in 1999.
He leaves his loving wife of seven years, Margaret T. (Holmes) O’Loughlin Deane; four children, Ian Deane, Colin Deane, Thomas O’Loughlin, and Meghan O’Loughlin; his father, Jack Deane and his companion Betty Thorndike of Plymouth; two sisters, Donna Fitch and her husband Alan of Wayland and Beverly Petterson and her husband David of Hudson; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie J. (Merz) Deane.
John was a collection manager for Northland Investment Corporation in Newton.
John was devoted to his family and was known for his kind and generous nature. He always had a smile or kind word for anyone. His presence would fill a room. He was hard working and well respected by many and will be sadly missed.
He enjoyed family vacations in Prince Edward Island, skiing, playing pitch, traveling, and his beloved dog, Bailee.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 22, from 4-8 p.m., in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Funeral services for John will be held Friday, Dec. 23 from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. A private committal service will be held at a later date.
