Hudson – On Dec. 17, despite the first substantial snow storm in the area, families made the journey to the Dance on Dance Center (DODC) of Hudson holiday recital held at Nashoba Valley High School. Students come from Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough and surrounding towns.
Instead of charging for admission, Lori Gorgone, owner of DODC, began a tradition 15 years ago, collecting for the neediest ones at holiday time.
“Instead of selling tickets, we ask our parents and families to bring donations for the Hudson Community Food Pantry,” she said. “This year they were in need of toiletries. Our families really came through with an amazing amount of toilet paper, soaps, toothbrushes and toothpaste as well as many food items to keep their shelves stocked.”
