Hudson – Nomination papers are now available for interested candidates running for municipal offices in Hudson. The Annual Election will be held Monday, May 8.
The offices to be elected at the Annual Town Election for 2017 are as follows:
Selectman One for Three Years
Moderator One for One Year
School Committee Two for Three Years
Trustees of Benevolent Funds One for Three Years
Housing Authority One for Five Years
Municipal Light Board One for Three Years
Park Commission One for Three Years
Board of Health One for Three Years
Library Trustee One for Three Years
Planning Board One for Three Years
Cemetery Commission One for Three Years
Constable One for Three Years
Board of Assessors One for Three Years
Registered voters who are interested in running for office should visit the Town Clerk’s office to pick up nomination papers. All nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office not later than Monday, March 20, at 5 p.m. In order to appear on the ballot, a candidate must obtain 50 registered voters signatures in the town.
Hudson Annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday, May 1, at the Hudson High School Auditorium, 69 Brigham Street at 7:30 p.m. The deadline to register for the Annual Town Meeting/Election is Tuesday, April 11. The Town Clerk’s office will be open on April 11, the last day to register to vote, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You may also go online to register at www.registertovote.ma.
