Region – State Representative Hannah E. Kane (R-Shrewsbury) has hired Westborough resident and recent college graduate, Jessica Beliveau, as her new legislative aide for the 190th General Session at the State House.

Prior to graduating from Westborough High School in 2012, Beliveau served as the student representative to the Westborough School Committee, where she was actively involved in matters pertaining to Westborough public schools and public education in the commonwealth. As a member of Representative Kane’s district, Beliveau is elated and motivated to help serve the people of Shrewsbury and Westborough while working on Beacon Hill.

Following her junior year at Boston College, Beliveau had the opportunity to intern for Governor Charlie Baker. As an intern she worked closely with the Governor’s Council to Address Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Homelessness. During her internship, Beliveau researched legislation, attended several hearings surrounding numerous social policy issues, and traveled throughout the commonwealth to liaise with advocacy groups, state and local officials, and constituents on state matters and procedures.

As a political science major, Beliveau has always been active politically and interested in pursuing a career in public service and government. She enjoys contributing to the state community and is a firm believer in engaged citizenship.

“I could not be more honored and eager to be working for Representative Kane,” Beliveau said. “As a young woman just beginning to embark on my professional career, I look forward to working for such an impressive, active, and dedicated state legislator. I am confident that my background will allow me to meaningfully contribute to Representative Kane’s efforts, and look forward to speaking with constituents in the 11th Worcester district.”

“I am very excited to have Jessica join my team at the State House. As a Westborough resident and Boston College graduate she offers a passion for state government and valuable community ties,” said Kane. “I look forward to working with Jessica as the 190th session begins.”

Constituents who need assistance navigating state agencies or have questions or concerns relating to state policies are encouraged to contact Representative Kane’s office at 617-722-2430 to discuss your issue and/or concern.
