Eleanor C. Cimini, 92, of ShrewsburyShrewsbury – Eleanor C. (Croci) Cimini, 92, of the Southgate Community in Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017 in her home, surrounded by her devoted daughters. Her husband, Claude Cimini, died in 2009.

She leaves her loving daughters, Linda M. Taintor and her husband Jay of Hopedale and Lucy S. Cimini and her partner John Andrews of West Boylston; three grandchildren, Erik G. Wagner and his fiancée Sara Hesson of Austin, Texas, Elaina M. Wagner of Charlotte, N.C., and Ryan C. Taintor of Hopedale; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah A. Cimini, and a brother, Victor G. Croci.

Eleanor was born in Boston and raised in the North End, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Sasserno) Croci. She graduated from High School in the North End and continued her education at the Burdett Secretarial School.

Eleanor had worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield and later kept the office running for many years for her husband’s business, Bay Builders Inc., a construction and rehab company in Reading.

She traveled extensively with her husband throughout their retirement, including six trips to Italy. Eleanor enjoyed singing and was very involved in the many of the shows and musical programs at Southgate.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel at Southgate, 30 Julio Dr., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
