Northborough – Three Algonquin Regional High School student-athletes participated in National Letter of Intent Day (NLI) Feb. 1 at the school.

Two Southborough athletes will be playing Division I women’s soccer for their respective schools this fall.  Meagan Stassi will be attending the University of South Carolina Upstate, in Spartanburg, S.C., while Kate Hostage will be attending Syracuse University, in Syracuse, N.Y.,

Colin Robinson, of Northborough, will be playing football at Western New England University, in Devens, Mass., to play Division III football.

According to its website, the NLI is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an NLI member institution. A prospective student-athlete agrees to attend the institution full-time for one academic year (two semesters or three quarters). In return, the institution agrees to provide the athlete financial aid for that time period.
