Norma M. Taft, 90, of GraftonGrafton – Norma M. Taft, 90, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 following an illness.

She is survived by her children, Robert E. Taft, Jr., Joyce M. Cadrin, and Bruce W. Taft and his wife Tammy. Her son, Wayne E. “Chipper” Taft, predeceased her in 1976. Norma also leaves eight grandchildren, Beth, Gerry, Shelly, Joe, Stacie, Nick, Valerie, and Tyler, and seven great-great-grandchildren, Samantha, Brooke, Summer, Hunter, Landon, Abbi and Braxton, along with many nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Phillip and Chet Benoit, and sister, Ethel Joy Benoit, predeceased her, as well.

Norma was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Grafton. She lived in town for many years, was a 50-year member of the Upton Grange, and was active with the Friends of Grafton Elders and Senior Citizens of Grafton.

Norma was always up for a bingo game and would challenge family to a game of pitch or cribbage whenever she could. If you were to visit her at home you might have noticed trophies she won over the years from candlepin bowling tournaments.

All are welcome to gather with Norma’s family Friday, March 10, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, followed by a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Grafton.
