Douglas/Grafton – Edwin D. Pirie, 72, of Douglas, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 after a brief illness.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine Pirie and Mike Snead; his sons, Donald and Michael Pirie; grandchildren, Jacob and Ryan Voutas and Bradley and Amanda Pirie; his sister, Brenda Sanguinet and her husband Ronnie; brother, Steve Pirie and his wife Ethel; and several nieces and nephews.
Edwin was born Nov. 27, 1944 in Upton, son of the late Phyllis (Fowler) and Donald Pirie. He grew up in Upton and for many years was the owner of the Country Super in Grafton and Upton. He also was the owner of New World Exhibits in Uxbridge. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Away from work, he enjoyed a round of golf in New Hampshire with friends.
All are welcome to gather with Edwin’s family and friends Thursday, March 16, from 5-7 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. Final services and burial will be private.
