Marlborough – Several families of children with special needs gathered at the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough to take pictures with its ‘Caring Bunny’ on March 26.
Organizers took steps to shorten lines and planned activities to hold children’s attention while they waited for their turn to meet the bunny. Taking place before the mall’s stores opened for the day, the event also minimized distractions from people passing the set.
The March 26 event was one of 14 ‘Caring Bunny’ appearances planned for malls across New England this spring. Though this was the first and last specific ‘Caring Bunny’ event at the Solomon Pond Mall this year, the bunny will be at the mall to take photos with the general public during select hours every day until Saturday, April 15.
