Marlborough – Vincent “Vinny” Domenic D. Marchitelli, 94, of Marlborough, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Coleman House in Northborough.
Born in Hartford, Conn., he was the son of the late Gaetano and Elena (DiRenzo) Marchitelli and the husband of the late Rosamond (Edwards) Marchitelli. A graduate of Somerville High School, Vincent enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served throughout Central Europe, Italy and So. France as a medic, with Company C. 111 Medical Battalion.
He is survived by his daughters, Elena May Marchitelli of Marlborough and Ann Marie Landry Giannini of Weymouth; three nieces; two nephews; and many beloved cousins.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near; Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Funeral services will be private.
