Marlborough – Two employees at the Marlborough Post Office were recognized for a combined total of 65 years of service to the public. Steve Bodkin and Christine Searles reached milestones of 35 and 30 years respectively.

Postmaster Nicholas Tselikis commended Searles and Bodkin in front of their peers and gave them letters and service pins congratulating them for their dedication.

Searles is a letter carrier in the Farm Road area where she makes 520 deliveries a day.

“I take great pride in my job,” she said. “I do my best; my customers come first.”

Bodkin is a clerk specializing in postal vehicles and also helps prepare mail for delivery.

“I try to help everybody out,” he said. “I like meeting different people at work and know firsthand how nice they are.”

Both employees started their careers in Marlborough and have continued there ever since.
