Openings still available for Northborough Travelers early fall trip

Northborough – The Northborough Travelers will be taking a 3-day tour of Washington, D.C. in the early fall, and it still has openings for those interested in taking part. The group departs Sept. 29, returning Oct. 1. The tour, arranged by Tours of Distinction, includes deluxe motor coach transportation with tour escort, two nights’ hotel accommodations, room taxes, baggage handling, two breakfasts and two dinners.

Also included are a tram tour of Arlington National Cemetery and a sightseeing tour with a visit to the World War II Memorial, Dr. Martin Luther King National Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Wall, Korean War Memorial and FDR Memorial and a visit to George Washington’s Mount Vernon.  There will be a narrated cruise up the Potomac River from Mount Vernon.  The morning of day 3 will be spent at the Smithsonian Museums.

Washington tours involve walking and all prospective tour participants should be aware that some walking will be necessary in order to view all memorials, museums and other points of interest.

The cost is $569 each for doubles, $539 each for triples, and $769 for singles. Trip insurance is offered at a cost of $34 for doubles and triples and $44 for singles.
