Corridor Nine hosts successful first session of social media workshop

Westborough – Nearly 60 local businesspeople attended the first session of a three-part social media workshop April 28 hosted by the Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce.

The session, which concentrated on Facebook, was presented by Russell Mangsen, principal consultant for the Namra Consulting Group, LLC, a local digital marketing company.

The second session will be Thursday, May 25, and concentrate on LinkedIn and Twitter.

The presenter will be social media strategist Mike Koshko, who has helped to mastermind creative solutions in today’s landscape of social media challenges to generate ROI for companies.

In addition, in this workshop participants will learn:

  • How to use LinkedIn and Twitter to drive profitable business results
  • Beneficial ways to gain followers and boost engagement on Twitter
  • How to build a valuable network on LinkedIn
  • Ways to measure success and ROI on social media

The final session will be Wednesday, June 21, and concentrate on social media strategy. The presenter will be Kristine Jones of Krush It! web marketing.

The meetings will be held at the Corridor Nine Chamber office, 30 Lyman St., Westborough, with registration at 8 a.m. The program will run from 8:15 – 10:15 a.m. The cost is free for Corridor Nine members and $55 for nonmembers. (Customers must prepay.)

These workshops are not successional and can be attended individually. (You must register for each workshop individually.)
