Dean A. Powers, 47, of MarlboroughMarlborough – Dean A. “Deano” Powers, 47, of Marlborough, passed away at home Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016.

He was born in St. Albans, Vt. and raised in Berlin, the son of Janet M. Powers of McDonough, Ga. and Robert Powers of Berlin. He graduated from Assabet Valley High School in 1987.

Deano loved cars and was an auto mechanic, working in surrounding towns all his life.

In addition to his parents, he leaves his sister, Dawn Fouracre and her husband Mark of McDonough, Ga.; his girlfriend, Joyce Senecal of Marlborough, with whom he lived; and Max, his faithful cat who brought him the most joy.

Dean was such a big-hearted guy, he would do anything he could to help someone in need, and would give you the shirt off his back. He was an avid Patriots fan who enjoyed occasional trips to Foxwoods for a game of blackjack.

Dean loved skydiving and was a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. He will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 18, at 1 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home of Marlborough.

Dean loved helping animals. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter or cat rescue.
