Region – The physician members of Reliant Medical Group recently took a key step in ensuring Reliant stays at the forefront of providing high-quality health care to the people of Massachusetts by voting to align with Optum, a health services company that focuses on modernizing health-system infrastructure and advancing the provision of value-based care.
By partnering with Optum, Reliant expects to bolster its ability to grow and expand, modernize many of its clinical facilities, have access to advanced data analytics capabilities, and attract top medical talent to its practices.
Reliant and Optum will now move toward a definitive agreement, which will be subject to Massachusetts regulatory review and approval. The transaction completion date is unknown at this time. The Reliant Board of Trustees had previously unanimously approved pursuing the transaction.
