Claire Brodeur, 82, of MarlboroughMarlborough – Claire Lillian (Cadieux) Brodeur, 82, of Marlborough, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017. She had been lovingly cared for by her family and MetroWest Hospice throughout her lengthy illness.

Born in Marlborough she was the daughter of the late Fabiola Felicity Boutin Cadieux and was a graduate of Marlborough High School, class of 1952.

Claire had been employed for many years by the City of Framingham at the Water Department and enjoyed gardening and reading. She will be forever remembered for her wit, positive state of mind, generosity and exceptional advice.

She is survived by her sons, Steven D’Amico, Robert D’Amico and his wife Susan, David D’Amico and his wife Cindy, and Christopher, her daughter, Francine, her grandchildren, Daniel, Celina, Mark and his wife Kristen, Michelle, Michael and his wife Jacqueline, and Alexis; her great-grandchildren, Audrey, Thea, and Ethan; her brothers, Donald Cadieux and his wife Sharon and Richard Cadieux and his wife Margie; and many nieces and nephews. She had also been the wife of the late Francis Brodeur, the sister of the late Jeanne Frullo, and grandmother of the late Kevin Bassett.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m., at Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
