John Lincoln, 65, of MarlboroughMarlborough – On Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at the age of 65, John Barry Lincoln died at his home in Marlborough, with his family by his side, after a long battle with cancer.

John was born to Walter and Ida (Houle)Lincoln on April 26, 1952 in Boston.

John worked in shipping and receiving for many years.

He spent most of his free time fishing on Lake Winnipesauke, bowling, and cheering on the Red Sox. He also enjoyed visiting Hampton Beach, the casinos at Mohegan Sun, and always looked forward to the annual cookout to play horseshoes with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie (Groesser) Lincoln; three children, Jeffery Lincoln and his wife Jesse of Lake Worth, Fla., Barbara Lincoln of Haiku, Hawaii, and Jacob Lincoln of Marlborough; two grandchildren, Morgan and Mason Lincoln; three siblings, Walter Lincoln of Northborough, Bella Purcell of Tewksbury, and Jeanette Lazarus of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.

John will be missed by many friends and family members. He lived a life filled with miracles. John always kept his spirits up even through his 11-year battle with cancer.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Friends may visit from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.
