David E. Turner, 73, of UptonUpton – David E. Turner, 73, of Upton, formerly of Westborough and Woodville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 at his home.

Born Dec. 9, 1943 in Marlborough, he was a son of the late Francis and Florence (Wakefield) Turner. He was raised and educated in Westborough and then joined the United States Air Force.

David was a self-made entrepreneur known for Dew Drop Donuts and Turner’s Tax Service.

He had a passion for aviation. He was a very active member of the ACE (Aviation Career Education) Camp in Maine, which is a program for teenagers who are interested in aviation. He served as the treasurer for ACE for many years. He was also a member of the Swift Aviation Group and volunteered at the Wright Brothers Museum in Ohio.

David loved traveling the world, camping, fishing, swimming and dancing, especially Zydeco dancing.

He is survived by his longtime partner in life, Sandra Love of Upton; two daughters, Deborah Turner of Warwick, R.I. and Tammy McGee and her husband Daniel of Upton; two granddaughters, Tanya and Nina McGee of Upton; two sisters, Claire Benway of Worcester and Elaine King of Grafton; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Albert and Donald Turner.

Funeral Services will be held privately on a later date.
