Artists invited to enter Marlborough Library’s 46th annual Regional Juried Art Show

Marlborough – The Friends of the Marlborough Public Library has announced that art show entry forms are now available for their 46th annual Regional Juried Art Show to run from Monday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 12, at The Friends Art Gallery, Bigelow Auditorium, Marlborough Public Library, 35 W. Main St.

Area artists 18 and older are invited to submit their artwork for the show by Friday, Nov. 3, at 4:30 p.m. Entry forms are available at The Friends Bulletin Board, rear entrance of the library, or online at www.mpl-friend.org. Go to the Events/Calendar pages and click on “Tuesday, Nov. 6,” then “entry form.”

Three prominent art authorities will select, from all submitted entries, works to be hung in the exhibition. They will winners for first, second and third place honors plus three honorable mention awards. In addition, there will be two special awards, the Sam and Mable Field Memorial Award for best depiction of nature and the Best of Marlborough Artist Award. The public will be invited to vote for their favorite work while visiting the gallery; their votes will be collected in a special ballot box marked “Popular Vote” and will be counted at the end of the exhibition. There will be monetary rewards presented to the recipients of all awards.
