Jodi Gricci, 49, of Westborough


Westborough – Jodi Dowd Gricci passed away peacefully at home in Westborough, surrounded by her family and dear friend, on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 from metastatic breast cancer.

Born Feb. 15, 1968 in Holden, Jodi graduated from Leicester High School. Her early career included positions as Marketing Coordinator at Boston Scientific in Natick and Marketing Manager at Cortek in Dedham. At the time of her death, she was the Chief Commercial Officer of ReWalk Robotics, where she previously served as Vice President, Global Marketing and Training. Prior to ReWalk, she served as the Managing Director of Soteira GmbH, a medical device company based in Berlin, Germany.

She will be remembered lovingly by her family as a strong and independent woman who selflessly gave of herself; always putting others first. Her kind and gentle spirit was not only reflected in her outward beauty, but beauty of the heart.

Jodi was predeceased by her mother, Joyce (Stanikmas) Dowd. She is survived by her parents, Peter and Betty Jo Dowd of Millbury; a brother, Peter Dowd Jr. and his wife Sandra of North Attleboro; a brother, Dr. Scott Dowd of Boston; a sister, Stacey Dowd of Cornelius, N.C.; former husband Leonard (Lee) Gricci of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces Anissa Wackerman of Richmond, Va., Katelyn Wackerman of Delray Beach, Fla., Mary Beth Wackerman of Wilmington, N.C.; and nephew Christopher Wackerman of Delray Beach, Fla.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her dear friend Lynn Lavallee for her support and palliative care in her final days.

Jodi’s funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 24 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Joseph/St Pius X, 1161 Main St., Leicester. Calling hours to remember and celebrate her life will be held Monday, Oct. 23, from 4-7 p.m., in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester.
