Hudson – Constance A. (Higgins) Kearney, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017. She was married to her high school sweetheart, the late Lawrence I. Kearney, for 50 years.
She was born in Mars Hill, Maine, the daughter of the late Milford P. and Florence R. (McCrum) Higgins, and lived in Hudson since 1996.
Mrs. Kearney worked as an electronics tester for the Fenwal Corp. for 26 years, retiring in 1991. She was always very proud of her husband and the many others who served our country in WWII.
She is survived by one son, Terence Kearney of Hudson; one sister, Rae Lint of Connecticut; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Lawrence I. Kearney Jr.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson. An hour of visitation at the funeral home will be held Saturday, from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service.
