Grafton – After nearly a century of serving as a place of worship, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will soon be closing its doors and the building will be sold. Following the closure the parish will merge with the former St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sutton, to become Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.
The decision comes as the church works towards meeting the needs of its parishioners while recognizing that church attendance in many areas is on the decline.
On Christ the King Sunday which falls on Nov. 26, St. Andrew’s will host its final service and officially become part of Holy Spirit on Dec. 3.
