Frances E. FaheyHudson – Frances E. (Sullivan) Fahey, 83, a lifelong resident of Hudson, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

Frances is survived by her children, Steven P. Fahey and his wife, Gail, of Gonzales, La., Patty A. Wood of Hudson, Mary Beth Fahey of Andover, Billy F. Fahey and his wife, Tristan, of Framingham, Ellen F. Sawyer and her husband, Rick, of Andover, and Paul M. Fahey of Bolton. She also leaves her grandchildren Robby, Danny and Ann Marie Wood, Ricky, Michael and Sean Sawyer, Andrew Fahey, Liam Fahey, and her great-grandson, Bronson Leandres. She is survived by her sister, Helen Conrad, and her lifelong friend, Sylvia Daley. She was predeceased by her brother, William Sullivan. Frances was predeceased by her first husband, Paul M. Fahey, in 1977, to whom she was married to for 22 years. She was also predeceased by her second husband, David Reynard, in 1986.

Frances was the daughter of the late Francis and Elvira Sullivan. She graduated from Hudson High School, class of 1951, where she was the class Vice President and a cheerleader. Frances went on to earn her degree in nursing from Massachusetts Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 and worked as a register nurse at Marlborough Hospital for 35 years before retiring in 1996.

Frances loved all animals, especially her many cats through the years. She also enjoyed cross stitching, traveling to Ireland, Aruba, and Martha’s Vineyard, and trips to the beach. She was an avid lifelong Red Sox fan. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Frances was a devout Catholic and member at St. Michael Parish and formerly of Christ the King Church in Hudson, practicing her faith through her work and good deeds, volunteering at Our Father’s Table.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Nov. 28 at St. Michael Church of Hudson, with burial at Forestvale Cemetery.
