Rose J. VailletteNorth Grafton – Rose J. (Antonucci) Vaillette, 87, formerly of North Grafton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 after a period of declining health.

Rose is survived by her husband of 63 years, Paul H. Valliette; her three devoted children, Kathleen Anne Holland and her husband, John, of Wakefield, David P. Vaillette and his wife, Carolyn, of Milford, N.H., and Stephen J . Vaillette of Malden; two sisters, Mary McGinn of Upper Montclair, N.J. and Gloria Boheghian of Worcester; four grandchildren, Daniel Vaillette, Kathryn Rodgers, Emily Gurvis, and John Holland; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Rose was born in Brockton, one of three daughters of Joseph and Catherine (Casillo) Antonucci. She moved to Worcester as a young child, graduated from Commerce High School, and lived over 60 years in North Grafton, a short period in Westborough before moving to Worcester. At onetime Rose worked for the State Mutual Life Insurance Company before becoming a housewife caring for her family and home. She also volunteered playing the piano for the residents at St Francis home for over 18 years.

Rose as a devoted catholic who believed her faith was very important. She was a founding member and daily mass attendee of St Mary’s Church in North Grafton. She recited the rosary as often as she could and found peace in her faith.  Rose enjoyed knitting, crochet, and playing the piano she had in her home for family and friends.

Rose’s funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11:30 a.m., in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 10:30 a.m. to the time of the service.
