Framingham – Nancy (Colman) Hill, 88, of Framingham, died peacefully at the Beaumont Rehab & Skilled Nursing Facility in Westborough Thursday, Dec. 2, 2017. She was married to her beloved husband, George, for over 50 years.
Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Ernest W. and Persis (Howe) Colman. Nancy graduated from Framingham High School and earned an associate’s degree at LaSalle Junior College.
In addition to raising a family, Nancy was employed in education for many years including the New England Board of Higher Education as personnel manager and then at Fay School in Southborough in admissions. After marrying George in 1955, they settled in Framingham and happily raised three children.
Nancy also had many interests in her busy life, including the Framingham Garden Club, golfing, traveling, and spending time and summer vacations on Cape Cod. Her greatest joy was spending time with friends and family. Nancy had a wonderful spirit and sense of humor, always loving family gatherings and laughter.
Nancy leaves behind her children, Daren Hill of Glastonbury, Conn., Dana Hill of San Diego, Calif., and Eric Hill and his wife Susan of Hingham; her sister, Louise Hallisey of Cary, N.C.; her brother, William Colman and his wife, Bonnie Colman, of Mattapoisett; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Henry and husband Gary of Braintree, Jennifer Lordi of New York City, N.Y., and Alexandra and Ryan Hill of Hingham.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, Dec. 8, from 10-11 a.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. (Route 30), Southborough. A funeral home service will follow at 11:15 a.m. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Marlborough.
