Northborough – A holiday exhibit of watercolor artist Susan Tilton Pecora will be on view through Dec. 30 in the Main Meeting Room of the Northborough Free Library, 34 Main St.
Pecora, who grew up in Marblehead and now lives in Palmer, works in watercolor or egg tempera on board. According to Pecora’s artist statement, she synthesizes the world through drawing and painting and she always has. She began drawing and painting at age four, when her parents gave her blank pads of paper to draw and color on while living on their small boat cruising up and down the New England coastline during the summer months. Pecora takes a sketch book with her wherever she goes and then she works her sketches into more finished paintings back in her studio. She has long been attracted to the wildly diverse nature of New England and its varied subject matter from the coastlines to the factories and farmland.
Some of Pecora’s work will be available for sale and a price list will be available at the main desk in the lobby of the Library. Her website is available at www.susanpecora.com and her Facebook site is available at www.facebook.com/SusanTiltonPecoraArt.
