Shrewsbury Police seek alleged Walgreens armed robbery suspect

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Police Department released this statement this afternoon regarding an armed robbery at the Walgreens store on Route 9 –

Shrewsbury Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred on Sunday, December 3^rd, 2017 at 4:16 pm at the Walgreens Pharmacy at #225 Boston Turnpike (Route 9) in Shrewsbury. The lone suspect approached the cashier and demanded cash while also displaying a knife. The clerk turned over an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect fled the area on foot. Shrewsbury Police searched the area but the suspect eluded Police. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years of age, with a beard, wearing blue jeans, work boots, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with “American Eagle” written on the front and a black winter hat.
