Marlborough – Hazel M. Munroe, 87, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at Marlborough Hills Health Center, after a period of declining health.
Hazel was born in Berlin, the daughter of the late Edgar and Ada (Ellison) Munroe. She was raised in Hudson, graduated in the Hudson High School, class of 1950, and resided most of her life in town. Hazel was a member of First Federated Church of Hudson as well as the Hudson Senior Center. She enjoyed reading and listening to music.
Hazel is survived her brother, Harry N. Munroe Sr. of Hudson, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Albert P. Munroe, John E. Munroe and Ethel Gorman, Alma Headberg and her husband Carl, and Sally Tripp.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson. A funeral cortege will process to South Cemetery in Berlin for burial following her funeral service.
