Joanne D. Frawley, 73, of Marlborough

273

Joanne D. FrawleyMarlborough – Joanne D. (DiBuono) Frawley, 73, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 after a long illness.  She was the wife of the late John Frawley, who passed away in 2002. They were married for 40 years.

She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Dominic and Helen (DiBuono) Frawley and lived here all of her life.

Joanne was very close with her loving family. Joanne and her two children, John and Jodee, loved spending time together, whether it was traveling, hiking, listening to music, antiquing or simply watching a good movie at home…it only mattered they were together and enjoying life with one another.

Joanne was a selfless person, always interested in others’ well-being and how they were doing before speaking of or thinking about her own. She was a deeply religious person and a long-time member of St. Anne’s congregation in Marlborough.

Joanne will be remembered, missed and forever loved by many – her laugh and smile, generosity, caring nature, thoughtfulness and loving heart were obvious to those blessed to know her.

She is survived by a son, John Frawley; a daughter, Jodee Frawley; a sister, “Gypsy” Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m., in St. Bernadette’s Church, 266 Main St., Northborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 5-8 p.m., at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.

Memorial contribution can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Center, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
