Rosemary A. GuineauMarlborough – Rosemary A. (Baldwin) Guineau, 78, of Jaffrey, N.H. and formerly of Marlborough, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H. after a brief illness.

She was born, raised, and educated in Wellsville, N.Y., the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Padden) Baldwin and was a 1957 graduate of Wellsville High School.

She worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for over 20 years, retiring in 2001.

After moving to Jaffrey, N.H., she enjoyed spending her time solving all the crossword puzzles she could gather and witnessing the antics of the wide variety of wildlife behind her favorite back porch.

Rosemary was devoted to her family and close friends and loved spending time with them. She was known by many as having a sharp wit, keen sense of humor, incredibly generous spirit, and a warm and loving heart.

She leaves a daughter, Laura Macfarlane and her husband Patrick of Townsend; a son, W. John Guineau and his wife Lisa of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth Baldwin, and a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Booth, both of Wellsville, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Jessica Navin and her husband Sean of Marlborough, Casey Macfarlane of Townsend, and Stephanie and Nicholas Guineau of San Jose. She was the mother of the late Leslie Guineau and Christy Guineau, both of Marlborough. She was predeceased by two sisters, and three brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthew Parish, 105 Southville Rd., Southborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27, from 5-7 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough.
