Shrewsbury – Residents gathered Dec. 19 at the Shrewsbury Senior Center for the annual Holiday Party. The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Senior Center, and is part of a series of events put on by the Friends on the third Tuesday of each month.
Letty Ridinger, entertainment/programming coordinator for the Friends, shared, “All events are open to the public and we encourage all seniors to attend. For almost 20 years, the Friends have sponsored a Holiday event at the Senior Center. The Friends of the Shrewsbury Senior Center raises funds and supports the Senior Center throughout the year.”
Musician Dana Lewis blended holiday classics with folk songs during the event. After the party, some lucky attendees went home with the lovely poinsettias centerpieces.
