Marjorie BrooksGrafton – Marjorie A. (Hoyle) Brooks, 91, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 following a brief illness and with her devoted family in attendance. Her husband of 65 years, George C. Brooks, predeceased her in 2013.

She leaves her three sons, George (Randy) R. Brooks and his wife Diane (Poirier), Philip, and Gary and his wife Karen (Fleming). She was predeceased by her grandson, George (Corbin) Brooks, in 2011. She also leaves her grandchildren, Stacey and wife Jillian, Jayson and his wife Elizabeth, Amanda and Elijah Brooks. Her sisters all predeceased her, including her twin Mildred, Mabel, Ruth and Dorothy.

Marjorie was born Aug. 31, 1926 in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late Ralph A. and Lena M (Taylor) Hoyle and raised by her step-mother Alice. She was a graduate of Westborough High School.

She was devoted to her family and was proud of her role as the family matriarch. Those who knew her best will warmly remember her for this as well as her devotion to those whom she called her friends. She was a devoted member of the Baptist Church of Grafton.

All are welcome to gather with Marjorie’s family Thursday, Jan. 4, at 12 p.m., at the Russell Fellowship Hall at the Baptist church of Grafton to share remembrances of her life. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours.
