Howard J. Hiscock Sr.Grafton – Howard J. Hiscock Sr., 75, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 55 years, Joyce A. (Hallock) Hiscock; eight children, Donna Moffitt of Mississippi, Patricia McConnell of Parish, N.Y., Laura Smith and her husband Earle Jr. of Sutton, Howard James Hiscock and his husband Thomas Call of Beverly, Richard Hiscock and his wife Belinda of Worcester, Dianna St. George and her husband Timothy of Grafton, Mark Hiscock and his wife Jean of Worcester, and Dawn Winship of Louisiana; two brothers; Lee Hiscock of New Bedford and Frederick Hiscock of Worcester, 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Howard was born in Watertown, N.Y., a son of the late Howard Lee and Viola Agnes (Clark) Hiscock. He graduated from South Lancaster Academy.

Howard worked for Digital Equipment Corp. for many years as a Senior Analyst, a position he truly loved as he loved working with computers.

Howard loved the outdoors and enjoyed cutting and splitting firewood. He also loved planting many different varieties of trees. Howard also loved being at the ocean. He loved playing horse shoes, billiards, and visiting his many friends. Howard loved to talk about politics and religion. Some of his favorite foods were pinwheels, snowball pastries, chocolate covered cherries, and ribbon candy. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Howard’s funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 29, at 6 p.m., in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 123 Main St., Westminster. Burial will be private. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home from 4:30-6 p.m. prior to the funeral services.
