Hudson – Frances G. (Lyons) Cesario, 98, of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27th, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 2002.

Frances was born in Hudson, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Lyons. She was born and raised in Hudson, where she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of St. Michael’s Academy, class of 1937.

Frances proudly worked and raised her family in her hometown and was employed by the Town of Hudson as the Office Manager of the Public Works Department for many years before her retirement in 1983.

She treasured the many wonderful summer vacations on Cape Cod spent with her husband and family and the winter months she spent in Florida for several years. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her cherished grandchildren and beloved great-grandchildren who were all a great source of pride and joy for her. Frances was an avid Red Sox fan and was thrilled when they finally won the World Series not only once, but three times. Frances truly appreciated, and her family will be forever grateful for, the continued kindness and support of many dear and devoted friends and neighbors whose love and laughter always brightened her life.

She is survived by her two sons, David Cesario and his wife Judy of Hudson and Frank Cesario and his wife Barbara from Denver, Colo. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Cynthia Fletcher and her husband Ian, Michael Cesario and his wife Renee, Dr. Karin Simpfendorfer and her husband Christian, Matthew Cesario and his wife Amy, and Marc Cesario and his wife Cheryl; 14 great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard Lyons and his wife Kathy; her sister-in-law, Joan Lyons; her cousins, Jini Funk and Paul Boire and his wife Nancy; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 9-10:30 a.m., at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, followed by interment at Forestvale Cemetery.
